[bcab] Re: Doing a Boot Time Defrag

Hi Barry,

1. I am as is suggested, storing data on D:\

2. Can I convert both partitions to NTFS at the same time, or do I have to do C:\ and then at a later stage do D:\, and if I can convert D:\ to NTFS, will this cause me problems with my data, i.e, will I have to back D:\ up first, or will the data stay where it is?

As to chkdsk, I will take your advice and run chkdsk on both partitions prior to changing both C:\ and D:\ to NTFS.

I'll have to clean both partitions out I think, because the total of free space is around 9 GB if you add c:\ and d:\ together, but if you are referring to the space on each partition, then there is around 4GB on one and either 5 or 6GB on the other I believe.

6. Do I take it from your answer, that in your opinion I wont have to reformat then.

Thank you again for your informative help.
