[bcab] Re: Connecting to the net since upgrading to IE7

Hi

One way is to 'Roll back' using the system tools.

With XP Go to

START
PROGRAMMES
Accessibility
System tools
System Restore.

You then get an option to roll back to a date to be specified.

Choose date required, it will also show you when the change took place.

Restore.

It will take a few minutes and will restart. There are no changes to any
files even those created after the change to IE7.

I had a problem with reading with IE7 on a laptop and took this action. It
was considered safer than uninstalling.

You might like to check further before proceeding . I took my advice from my
Son who is a network engineer.

Kind regards

Charles Crisp

Subject: [bcab] Connecting to the net since upgrading to IE7

Hi, hope someone can help me out with this one. Since upgrading IE on my
laptop to version 7 on Sunday, I've been unable to connect to the internet
through

my network connection at home. I am able to swap files between the
computers on the network but just can't connect to the net. However, using
the same

PC at work, I can connect to the web with no problems - I'm linking into
their network via a network cable while it's a wireless connection at home
but

I'm not sure if that makes any difference. I've turned the Windows firewall
off on my laptop too and restored defaults in the advanced tab of IE's
options. If it would be easier to revert to IE6, how would I do
that?.Cheers in advance
