[bcab] Re: Confused about Daisy format

Hi

Looking at the actual mp3 files on a couple of books I've got, they're labelled
01, 02, 03, 04 ,05 etc, so they would likely play correctly.

I just didn't realise that they used mp3 files is all, I thought daisy was a
file format.

I think also Darren, you may well find that files don't play in the right
order.

    Hi

yes, I was looking at the files of the disc with Windows Explorer and
noticed a lot of extra files.

Still, if you just wanted to listen and weren't worried about bookmarks
etc, you don't need a daisy player.

It's all to do with the navigation.

        Hi folks

I've just joined the RNIB talking book Library as I now find they
produced digital audio books in daisy format.

Now, I'm lead to beleive that daisy formated books have to be played on
a compatible daisy player.

So, how come when I get my first books, I see that they are in fact mp3
files and I can play them fine in winamp and my mp3 compatible hifi system?

        Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I think it's great, I'm just a
bit bemused.

        Darren
