[bcab] Re: Computer hiccups

Hi Dave,

Sound ominously like a bad cable or bad connection problem.

Give me a call at the office, and I'll try and give you a
few pointers.

George.

Hi George,
I'm recording via a cable and an external device. I'm
nonitoring the recording, and it is fine, but when playing
back, small fragments get missed out.

Thanks,

Dave.

        Hi Dave,

Are you recording direct from the Internet, or via
cables from an external device?

If the format, it may be a buffering issue. Do you
really have enough bandwidth?

If the latter, it may be a suspect cable or
connection.

        George.

        Hi all,
I am having trouble recording directly to my PC at
the moment.
Playing files is fine, but when recording, tiny bits
get skipped, and the recording is ruined.
I have defragged the drives, cleared as much stuff
out of the system tray as is safely and humanly possible.
I will be grateful for any suggested solutions to
this problem.
I should say that the computer is part of a home
network with one other computer on it.

        Thanks,

        Dave.
