Select your sound card rather than your microphone as your input device in
CDEX.
If your microphone is on unmute then this should come out through the sound
card as well as Jaws.
This should be perfectly straightforward if you have a traditional
microphone going through a microphone or line in socket on your PC. You
simply have to unmute the microphone in sound properties.

If you have a USB microphone you may be out of luck. This is because it is unpredictable as to whether you can use the microphone in monitor mode, that
is with sound coming out through your sound card and speakers . Some USB
microphones can do this I think but others definitely do not. Unfortunately
I wasted some money on such a USB microphone which could not be used in
monitor mode. The only thing the manufacturers seemed to be interested in
was whether it worked with Skype.

David Griffith
