[bcab] Re: Bt email accounts

Hi Derek,

Just a thought and not sure if it will work, but it could be that you need to set your outgoing server to require authentication.

As I don't know which Email client you are using, I can't give you precise instructions.  However, in Outlook and Outlook Express, you need to go to Email accounts, select your account and find the outgoing servers tab.  Within there, you'll find a check box which says something along the lines of "my outgoing server requires authentication".  Try checking it.

HI Derek,

Is it possible that you have 2 accounts which are trying to connect to
the server, one correctly configured, and one which doesn't manage to
connect?

Regards,

Tim
