Hi Derek,
Just a thought and not sure if it will work, but it could
be that you need to set your outgoing server to require
authentication.
As I
don't know which Email client you are using, I can't give you precise
instructions. However, in Outlook and Outlook Express, you need to go to
Email accounts, select your account and find the outgoing servers tab.
Within there, you'll find a check box which says something along the lines of
"my outgoing server requires authentication". Try checking
it.

the server, one correctly configured, and one which doesn't manage to
connect?
