Hallo Brian, the folders are in a bit of a mess after the sighted
very
experienced friend tried to make an Individual folder for this list
come into direct. I am not going to make it worse. I am actually relying on
Control and U to find unread. did I tell you I was on the phone for over 1
hour yesterday to Freeserve Technical Support. It seems I have 1 Account
in the name of User @ Dcig.freeserve.co.uk which was signed up with. My
Desktop account is however Dorothy 1 and laptop Dorothy 2 It is too long a
story to explain. However mr Usman said my account must be corrupted and
should be destroyed and a new account set up. he would have done this
yesterday, but it would need to be done on both the laptop and desktop. Of
course he would not know key strokes so it would be clicks. I have no idea
as
sighted friend has gone on holiday when a sighted person who can destroy
and sit up a new account I can take the laptop from where I am typing to the
room with desktop and put them side by side. Then comes the ordeal of
trying to get a sighted person and a hands free phone in front of computer
to be talked through it all. I do not want Freeserve to get any idea I am
going to sign up for another year.
eighteen pounds I do not download music or things other people do. It may
seem as if the number of Emails I have in subfolders and Inbox is a lot but
it suits me to nip in and out of folders with Control and Y. at the moment I
think however BcAb is arriving 2 folders!! So lord knows what friend did.
I must say your printer sounds very fancy, what would it cost in sterling?
I put my Epsom printer up in the loft because it droveme mad. Fiddling with
cartridges. I bought a HP Laser Inkjet printer in January last year so it
is almost 1 year and 8 months old. I kept the other in case. do you know
the loft is full of stuff kept in case, which means they were no good or a
lot of trouble I have an AEpson Scanner 3490. I would have prefered an Hp
but stephen said that Kurzweil works better with the Epson scanner. I had
though of a combo, or a lightweight Canon. Stephen Baum this is knows what
I need to do you see. He knows I have lots of folders with typed matter,
carbon copies for example. I think carbon copies are very hard but if you
use the Optimise feature you can get a result that is not bad. By the way
regarding my account being "corrupted" I am suspicious of this word. Truly
since I had a computer I have never heard the word corrupted so much in all
my life. I think it is a 'cover all' word and most likely poor man in
Floaty
call Centre in India has not much of a clue. do you have an OCR? are you
. Oh dearusing Jaws? Sorry to be so curious. I am at the moment paying
monthly about
fan is swishing and laptop needs to cool off, I left it on for hours
pluggedinto mains of course. One thing the Hp Laser Ink Jet 1012 does is
print in black only. However if I need it I can get the other printer down.
However friends send me photos and even if I can only see them "as through a
glass darkly" I still like to try. if you have once had good normal sight
it is amazing what the brain can do, that is my personal experience of
course. I do not intend to turn the Monitor off until nature puts out the
lights. Ok Good luck getting your super duper printer home. Ps is this
coming in as Plain text? Is it arriving as User@ or Dorothy? Only if you
have time. Dorothy
