  Tom,

That would make it easier, admittedly. I use a separate partition for my
back ups. The drive will back up at anywhere between 1 10th and 1 20th of the
original size of the original drive. Hope this helps. Reinstall really helps
when you know the layout of your files well. After doing it a few times, you
could memorise the keyboard commands to reinstall. It takes about 25 different
button presses.

  Roger

thanks, Roger, I've got an external hard drive so might even have less
problems than you.

      Hi Tom,

I use Norton Ghost and find it easily accessible for backing up the drive
but not so when it comes to uploading the back up. If you have sighted
assistance, you can quite easily back up every drive and steadily go through
the steps to reinstall each drive with someone who can help. This is what I
did then saved the instructions on to CD in audio. I use Jaws myself and all
of the operations are accessible via the keyboard, it's just that you run from
disc before the installed speech files are loaded.

On the whole, Norton Ghost I found to be an excellent product and haven't
needed to look anywhere else for another similar.

      Roger

After a crash, and probs with NT backup, I'm looking for a backup prog
that will back up the system.

I've come across Norton's ghost, but, wonder whether anybody has used
this. Any other suggestions, particularly want to make sure jaws accessible.

        Tom
