Hi Mark,
to join, send a blank email to:
uk-radio-listeners-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Then you can ask the questions
there. I'll ask who for the name of somebody works on the TV site if you like.
You also need to be in touch with Jill Whitehead at RNIB. Thatn's
jill.whitehead@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Jill works on audio description and other aspects of making TV programme
content more accessible to blind and partially-sighted people.
Regards,
Clive

No I don't mind at all, In fact I wouldn't mind joining that list as well.
Is there someone who would work on the TV site as well as I am hearing impaired
too and I also found out that I tried shift CTRL and c to put subtitles on and
off on Windows media player and it didn't work for eastenders yesterday. Adobe
Air and some other stuff that the BBC are doing on adobe is good for people
like me with some form of sight and fully sighted but blind people would
struggle with the new way except that they are using a 3rd party program like
BBC IPlayer for Webbie or on the main BBC Iplayer site but what about those who
wants to download the program and play it in the next 30 days. I think that
some people would might like that idea but accessible as possible.

Mark,
do you mind if I post this one on to the UK-radio-listeners list, as I know
our membership includes some BBC staff working on IPlayer?
Thanks,
Clive

Hi all
Just to warn you guys and I don't think anyone have posted this thread about
Iplayer Download Manager will be switching to adobe air, I will just have to
say you can either use the Webbie Iplayer feature or if you go to other
downloads and then use Windows Media player to download the programmes to
there. I think adobe will need to inform that their adobe air is not accessible
to screen readers. Hope to hear your views on that matter between the BBC and
adobe.
Mark Conquer.
