Hi Phil
Thanks for this, but the info on this site doesn't make much sense to me.
There is one thing , though - At least it looks likely that it's not a
virus... I hope.
Cheers
Barry

Hi Barry,
I don't know anything about AMW myself but the fileet site has the
following raw data on the subject:
Program Name and MIME Type Info for File Extension .AMW
FILExt has been given permission to display a Program Name/MIME type
database collected by Anthony R. Nemmer. Some of that data has already
been included into the main FILExt database; but, not all. Those entries
which have not yet been incorporated are shown below in the hope that
they will be of some use. Be aware this is raw data which may require
further research on your part to fully understand. MIME type listings
often contain the name of a program or, at a minimum, a type of file as
the leading text in the MIME type.
ProgramName MIMEType
AnadigmDesigner File
Applet Menu Wizard File
Found in Some FreeBSD/NetBSD Packages
SPSS-Amos Path Diagrams Backup File
The path to the page where I found this information is:
http://filext.com/file-extension/amw

Subject: [bcab] Attachments with .doc.amw
Hi all
In several messages that I received today, attachments have the suffix
.doc.amw. I've had a look on Google, but I can't find anything about
amw. I
can't open the attachments directly from Outlook, but I can if I save
them
to my computer and open them in Windows Explorer.
Can anyone shed any light on this suffix?
I'm using Windows XP and Office 2003, and I've just started using a
trial
version of Outpost Firewall.
Cheers
Barry
