Hi Roger,
Did you use the latest version of Talks? More tricky on the net? All you
need to know is how to press the number keys to move by different elements
on the web, so in that way it is more intuitive than MS.
All the best
Steve

Hi Charles,
I've got an N73 and an N958Gb.
I'm using the 3G network and have bought a license for mobile speak and have
tested Talks.
Both applications are very useful and make phone navigation really easy.
Voices are clear and can be modified. How much you want the phone to tell
you can be altered to suit your needs.
It really depends on what you want the phone for. Most people reckon just
to send and receive text messages and phone calls - hah! That is until they
discover how much a phone can be.
The things I've found so far...
Mobile Speak:
Very useful for using Quick Office applications if you are going to use your
phone like a computer.
Good on internet surfing, messenging etc if you want a portable internet
connection.
Clear for text, calls and simple applications like clock etc.
Good support.
Talks:
I've not so much experience of Talks but...
Clear voices.
Does not read Quick Office word documents.
More tricky on the internet with messaging but helpful with surfing.
Other standard applications have good access.
Both packages are pretty good.
Both cost similar prices from what I can work out. £150 ish.
Talks can be registered over the phone which is handy whereas Mobile speak
can't as yet.
If you want, you can get a 7 day license or 10 day license for Talks, not
sure how long it is or a 30 day trial for Mobile Speak - free of charge.
After that, I'm not sure what happens with Talks but Mobile Speak only works
for 10 minutes then keeps telling you to register. A reboot sorts this
problem out but is not an effecient way to deal with it.
I can send you links to both packages which I will do in a moment.
Alternatively, you can contact me off list and I may be able to help you
with installation etc.
If you want to contact me off list, that's OK:

or via windows messenger:
rawoolgrove@xxxxxxxxxxx
I'll leave it in your hands and will post the links in a bit.
Roger

Hi
I am considering getting a Nokia N95 on which I can install a speech
programme, however here in France I am having difficulty getting one to see
how easy it is to handle.
Can those of you who use one let me know what it is like in a practical way
to use? For instance are the buttons easy to use and is the interface
intuitive? I have not used a mobile for years and they have become very
small. My wife?s phone is very small and the buttons are depressed and
difficult to separate.
What about the different speech programmes. Do they speak as you enter each
number? How much of the rest of the functions are spoken?
Any useful practical information would be welcome.
I won?t be buying in France, it?s too expensive especially with the tax
imposed from last month on all multi media phones, and so does anyone know
of a good honest supplier in the UK.
Thanks.
Kind regards
Charles Crisp
