[bcab] Re: Address Bar not Showing in IE6

I am only reading this list in digest mode so this question may have
already been answered .
A common reason for the disappearance of an Address Bar in all versions of
IE is the accidental conversion of the page into full screen view. Full
screen is toggled by pressing the F11 . Key This view removes visible
signs of the address bar, toolbars and menu bar so is very obvious for
sighted users of IE. However, it can be extremely confusing for users
without sight as the alt key will continue to pull up the menus even though
there is no visible menu bar. This means that a screenreader user without
sight may be oblivious to the fact that they are in full screen view. The
first thing to try therefore is to press the F11 key to see if you can
toggle back to normal view in IE.

There are also some web pages which will not allow access to the address
bar. I assume that this is a general problem and not simply specific to
certain web pages?

As I will not see any replies till the next digest I may take a little time
to help further .

David Griffith
