Hi Nick, I'd look no further than Windows Movie Maker, the free "accessory"
video editor that comes
with XP. Not only is it extremely powerful and able to do all the things you
have described
including titling, splicing editing and transitions, it is amazingly screen
reader accessible. &
Free! under start menu, programs, windows movie maker.

Subject: [bcab] Accessible Video Editing Software.
Hi All.
Bit of an odd request but my wife and I just got a hard disk camcorder
and I'm after some software to be able to edit the videos we take.
All I want to be able to do is chop bits out, merge two clips and If I
can do some effects like fade to black or fade in I'd be chuffed. At
minimum I'd like to be able to cut bits of video out from the beginning
and end of the files.
I'm thinking something like sound forge but for video.
I've got access to HAL and Jaws on this box so any ideas would be
gratefully received.
Cheers.
Nick.
