Hi
MP3 tag is definitely the way to go. Even when you rip songs from CD's,
the accuracy of the tags depends upon the person who has input the
details into the online database. I need to be very accurate with my
file tagging and MP3 tag is the most accessible tool I have seen and
it's just great for tagging many files. No scripts or configuration
files required.

Subject: [bcab] Accessible ID3 tag generator
Hello,
I have been bought an ipod, which has a large capacity hard drive, and
which works with I-Tel. However, I've been storing mp3s on a hard drive
since the 90's, and when I attempted to transfer them to the itunes
library, the transfer was successful, but all the names are missing. I
gather that many files did not contain id3 tags, and it would appear
that this is the reason why many of the files appear to have lost their
identity. If anyone can tell me of a way to solve this problem, I'd be
very grateful.
Many thanks,
David.
