I don't know if Jaws for Windows is very picky about the computer
video card and monitor in the PC, but I know that several years
ago I had Jaws for MS-DOS and while my PC had a CGA (colour
graphics adapter), the Jaws macros and other configuration files
would not work with a monochrome monitor as they had been written
on a machine with the same video card as I had, but with a colour
monitor.
Seems my work PC had been shipped with a colour monitor but my
work's PC guy figured a blind person didn't need a colour monitor
as they were rare in the office at the time.
When the colour monitor was connected, Jaws worked like a charm.
Brian
