[bcab] AVG What's happening?

Hi. I keep getting a message on start-up saying "Critical Deadline Approaching." Jaws won't read any more, but it's apparently from AVG saying they are about to start charging for the product. Is there still a free alternative, and if so, what do I have to do to get it?
