Hi Derek,
If it doesn't appear in My computer, and yet you can hear the usual
sound as it is plugged in or out, you may just have a similar problem
to one I had.
Go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager and the navigate down to
the USB section. Make a careful note of what's there, and then plug
in the 8 GB drive. Look to see what has been added - in my case, it
was a "USB Composite Device". Select the new device, right click on
it and select properties. You may well find on examining properties
that the device is "Disabled". Click on "Enable".
I have this problem every time I take my Lexar 4 GB drive from being
used in XP, back to my Vista system. It's very annoying.
George.

Subject: [bcab] 8Gb USB Flash Drive
Hi Folks
I have just brought a 8Gb USB Flash Drive, my PC knows that the drive
has been inserted into a USB 2.0 slot on my USB external hub and also
on the front of my PC that is running Windows Xp Pro. (SP3) and JAWS
9.0but I cannot find the drive in my computer screen or system tray
therefor does anyone know how I can resolve my problem.
Thanks
Derek
