[bcab] 2008 updates

The old 2007 page has now been purged from the home page at www.vipnews.org.uk
and divided up into 15 separate pages. I have started on 2008 updates, however
unfortunately there is a "black hole" period in media history, where a certain
date range falls below the end of the most recent articles available through
being too old, yet falls above the news archive period range through being too
new. Google news, for example, has a finite limit of 1000 articles for any
given keyword search sorted by date. What this means for vipnews.org.uk is
that I've hardly got any links for January 2008, apart from at the tail end.
I've got quite plenty for December 07 and quite a few for February 08, but will
have to live with the gap for up to 3 months, until media articles from this
period become available to google new archives. I wasn't around at the time to
do the research work! Google is not the only new search engine I use - I
deploy up to 15 of them and am building my own - but most of them also have
such limits. Anyway, to close, as I'm sure not everyone is interested in all
of this, here is a short listing of the "assistive technology" articles I was
able to find so far, for February 2008. You can find them all at
www.vipnews.org.uk
or on the open web if you choose. Best to all, Leon Gilbert, Editor

visual impairment in the online media.
