Cathy brings up great concerns! The devil is always in the details with these
things so we should play out all of the possible scenarios before we commit to
this. I too am leaning towards this, but want to know exactly what ‘this’ will
be :)

I had a long talk with Kevin on Friday. I still have a lot of questions about
how we will be organizing this but I will probably join the group. I'd love to
talk with someone else in BAISL who has been with Overdrive for a while - we've
been using it for over four years so we already have a good-sized monetary
investment. I have so many questions about how we as a group will deal with
making books available to some grades and not others, how we will deal with
newly released/popular titles, how we will handle 12 month licensing (the
original purchaser?) or 26 use licensing (what if I buy but other schools have
most of the use?). How will we handle the edgier titles that are ok in some of
our schools but not others? (I have the GOT books for our upper school
students).
I love the overall cost savings and the chance to build a much larger
collection - I'm leaning strongly toward doing this.
