Good morning!
I wanted to share with you an incredible author speaker, A. E. Conran. Her new
book The Lost Celt is a great 4-6th-ish grade story with everything from Celtic
mythology to war across the ages, from solving a Halloween mystery to fostering
empathy. Even better than the book is Amanda's wonderful presentation! As a
book talker for Book Passage's book fairs she has the experience to excite
young audience's, but it is her fascination with history and experiences in
Britain that truly bring her topic alive. If you need an amazing author
presentation, Amanda's passion is truly inspiring!
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like more info. I cannot
recommend this author enough!!
Review:
A.E. Conran could well be a Rosemary Sutcliff for the present day. She brings
to life ancient myths whilst weaving in all the history in between. The Lost
Celt is a compelling read that exercises the imagination and fosters healing
between generations. Well drawn, believable characters avoid cliché as they
navigate the complexities of adolescence to discover a unique perspective on
the adult world. This is a book that has something for everyone and is not to
be missed!
