[bactttoma] have people ever heard of cutting back their trees

I think this must have something to do with all of this so called
environmentalism and global warming, but I am noticing a trend in the Shire of
Melton and several nearby shires I visit.

Lots of overhanging branches from trees.

I find this a disturbing trend, not just from the point of view of people who
are blind, but the safety of all people in general.

Melton seems to have allowed this problem to become so bad now, it's totally
out of control.

What's worse, there seems to be a lack of people policing this issue from the
Council, and if and or when it is policed, people are being slapped on the
wrist, and nothing else happens.

I am writing this from the shire right now, because I'm here to lodge yet
another written and formal submission regarding this matter, and I have focused
in issues for people who are blind.

There are several trees so bad here, if you had a dog guide, your dog guide
could only take you out on to Melton's second busiest road, which is just
simply completely unacceptable.

Anyway, if your shire is doing some good work in relation to tree cutting, I
would dearly love to hear how they do it and what you said or did to resolve
this matter particularly for people who are blind. Ok I'm next, so will sign
off and let you all know how I went with this matter.

Cheers.

Steven.
