Hi folks. I say hi with unspeakable joy. I got this news yesterday, I meant to share it then with the list, but was so overjoyed I was lost in another world. My daughter told me yesterday afternoon she is 3 months pregnant. I couldn't help myself. I literally jumped up and down with unspeakable joy. I contacted Vision australia today, and they were extremely helpful. They sent me no less than 3 brochures jam packed with info and equipment and suggested to me that even if the child is fully sighted, I should consider everything in the 3 brochures but do so carefully. Well they were huge files, but full of all sorts of stuff, really useful. I also got in touch with the blind/deaf association who gave me 2 brochures via email to read. Well, there is a heap of material here, if it is relevant, I will post some of it on this list. I am still reading through it all. But onh what joyful news this is. I am sitting around imagining image after image of what it is going to be like. One good thing is that this is a grand child and at the end of the day, I can give him or her back to his her parents. Oh the joys of bringing up a child. Something I am not sure I want to do as a parent again I am afraid, one was enough for me thanks. Lol. Cheers. Steven.
