From Amanda Taylor.

Well nothing wrong with a digital station in Melbourne picking up 5 a a and insuring they have 48 hours a week of local content, mtr is doing this already, some Melbourne content and some Sydney content, by the way, Luke Grant is definitely broadcasting from a second studio in Sydney too.

Other stations tried this, sen was in Adelaide for ages as an analogue and Perth too for a while and they had nowhere near 48 hours a week, but abandoned it for purely cost cutting just like that gone overnight it was.

Sport 927 even tried broadcasting their signal on foxtel for ages and apart from Melbourne presenters, had no local content for the rest of Australia unless you count local race callers in local race courses.

Amanda.

From Amanda Taylor.

Well, about time the antiquated licencing in radio was due for an overhall anyway.

Yes, extremely unlikely to happen, but wouldn't you just love 2 g b in Melbourne without the need for an internet connection using up data and you paying an internet company, this could be one of the hold ups, internet companies aren't going to like people listening in Adelaide to 3 a w in Melbourne.

And 5 a a aren't going to like it either but well I know I would love it to happen.

Use to love listening to 5 a a sports show, but now only way is the internet can't afford to fly there every weekend you know.

Amanda.
