[AZ-Observing] Re: terror at Flat Iron

Wow! That doesn't sound good - I think I'll pass on FlatIron tonight. My
wife was going to come out and I don't want her first experience including
goofy stuff like that.

IMPORTANT.. DO NOT GO TO FLAT IRON.

Wes Edens and myself went to Flat Iron Friday night and saw 4 rented
storage compartments surrounded by a locked Chain link fence. at about
10:00 PM two or more trucks came up the road and from what we could see
opened the units and started to fire a 22 rifle in all directions. Wes
and I never saw a muzzle flash from our view but took cover behind our
cars. After nearly an hour they started up some ATVs and came up the
road. Three men on quads passed right by us and didn't seem to see us.
We packed up and left. When we passed the storage units a camper was
parked there and I did not see anyone around. Remember this is private
land owned by SONORAN WEST PROPERTIES LLC. I don't think these are the
two attorneys that I spoke to last year. If you go to Flat Iron use
extreme caution, go early and if you are brave enough to approach these
men tell them that we have a verbal agreement with the owners to observe
there. I will contact the owner on Monday to let them know what is going
on at Flat Iron (aka Douglas Ranch).
