[AZ-Observing] Re: magnificent Moonbow, Thursday midnight

Nah, dust and smoke does not refract light.  There have to be ice crystals 
present to create haloes, and they are far above the Phoenix smog.

If anything, the persistent smog blanket has been dimming the magnificence of 
haloes, which have been appearing around the sun and moon a lot in the past few 
days.
