[AZ-Observing] Re: West Phoenix Tonight

I didn't see the 7:30 event, but this weekend is Luke Days. The
Thunderbirds are here as well as many other aircraft on static
display. (The Thunderbirds had already finished practice before
1930.)

Public is welcome.

There is parking on Glendale Avenue between Litchfield Road and
Dysart Road, $5 park and walk. There is also parking on Northern
Avenue at Litchfield Road, $5 park and ride. NO COOLERS WILL BE
ALLOWED. The squadrons will be selling food and stuff.

No one will be allowed on base in a vehicle unless you already
have a special pass (only available if you're working.)

I saw a B1, a couple of F-15s, and a C-130 as I drove by the
flight line yesterday afternoon. This event is only held every
two years, so if you're into planes, by all means go. See how
our Air Force is spending your tax money.

There is much information available at:

http://www.luke.af.mil

including a more complete list of what to bring and not bring.
