Hi,
Venus is at inferior conjunction today. I found it this morning using the
setting circles on my mount to do an offset from the Sun. I've been tracking
it all day. It is a thin but bright crescent. I read that the conjunction is
at 5PM MST. The separation from the Sun is 5.5 degrees north. It should still
be visible just after sunset after inferior conjunction. Venus' previous
inferior conjunction was much easier to find using a solar offset method. :-)
I enjoyed that event from Italy.
Clear skies,
Mark
