Watching the moon occult Venus was fun to watch. I even dragged my wife, Arlene
(aka MrsMrGalaxy), out to see it and she admitted to enjoying it, sleepy as she
was! I thought it was interesting to see how much purer white and how much
brighter the surface brightness of Venus was compared to the moon. The moon
appeared tannish in comparison. We had some intermittent clouds that threatened
to occult the occultation, but backed off at the last moment. I am going back
out to watch the egress, if I haven't already missed it. Then I have to shower
and go to work...
Clear skies,
Wayne (aka Mr. Galaxy)

Howdy all;
The crescent Moon just covered crescent Venus, I am not going to stay
awake for the un-covering. It was fun to watch the two crescents move
closer and then the bright limb of the Moon covered Venus. At took about
10 seconds and was very interesting to observe. I have seen lunar
occultations of Venus before, but I can't remember one where both were
easily seen as crescent phase.
Clear skies;
Steve Coe
