[AZ-Observing] Re: Two Images of a Near-earth Asteroid

Forgive me for hijacking this thread but I am new to the club and am not
sure how to put this request out there.
A young man and his mother came by the Fountain Hills club during their
outreach program tonight looking for help with the telescope he got for
Christmas. I'm sure you can imagine the tiny, unstable refractor he
received. With effort I was able to put the moon in the FOV but keeping it
there was not easy. You've all seen the type of scope I'm talking about.
I was wondering if someone had an unused, small dobsonian that they would
be willing to either sell for a song or donate outright. We are here
hoping the hobby will continue with the next generation and here is an
opportunity to help this guy get started with a telescope that can actually
be used successfully.
