I have it and thanks so much. I will run these stars in the double star
calculator and put in the same type of notes you saw before, I think =
that
they will be helpful to an observer, the idea being that they can figure =
out
an approximate position given two data points. That interpolation =
should
not be too difficult if I keep the dates reasonable.
One other question for those of you following this thread, do any of you =
use
the ADS numbers as the reference for these stars? I know that AJ and I
don't, but some might. I might include the SAO numbers for computer =
users,
since several models of digital setting circles have the SAO included. =
What
AJ and I said is that if I already know that the star I wish to observe =
is
Eta Cas or STF 3044, why would I want the Aitken Double Star =
designation?
So, give me some input.

I was sitting here for a few minutes waiting for something,
so I grabbed the orbit file and trimmed it as I mentioned previously.
My guess wasn't too bad: 34 stars here for the whole sky. Here is the
somewhat trimmed USNO orbit file (Hipparcos numbers omitted, and errors
on the orbital elements also omitted). I added in spaces between the
elements are the RA/Dec so that they're readable, and sorted by RA.
The whole thing is still very wide when all the elements are included,
but the first few columns will at least give you the positions of the
stars to form a working list.
I trimmed out a few stars with very large delta-m's (Procyon being
one that I recognized). Only the three far-southern stars do not
have an ADS number.
