In case it helps working on your color-balance, there is a
photometric sequence in this field by Landolt that includes (among stars
likely to be unsaturated on your images) ones ranging from just slightly
bluer than the Sun (which presumably should be rendered white) out to
a couple at B-V between 2.0 and 2.5, which presumably should come out
a good solid orange color. The list with coords is here:
