Nope, that was a bonafide booboo as rehashed at the SAC meeting following
the GCSP. The task isn't just to remember not to forget to bring the
counterweight, but also to remember not to forget to install before using
telescope, Cf.: "Dim Moments in Astronomy". In this particular case my
routine was interrupted by moving the telescope across the field, going to
the sunset talk, and coming back after dark to twenty people wanting to look
at Vega. Let it be a lesson to you. Luckily no one was killed or injured in
the mishap. More importantly, collimation was not affected.

Wasn't that at the 2001 GCSP...when you "accidently" knocked your big
scope to the ground? You claimed you had forgotten to put on the scope's
counter-weight! :-)
