[AZ-Observing] Tonight's SAC speaker

Richard Harshaw will present a lecture on "Double Stars (ranging from their
sheer beauty to their history, to their physics, to observing tips and
challenges, etc)." Richard is an expert on double stars with 25,000
observations and 2,000 measurements; he also authored Springer Verlag's book
_The Complete CD Guide to the Universe_which is kind of a merger of 20 years of
Richard's observations with finder charts generated from Tom Bisque's "The Sky".
Richard promises to spark interest in double star observing, to rekindle that
spark if you had it before and set it aside, and to present new information and
ideas to those currently immersed in double star observing. He's also a really
nice guy with a great speaking voice.

Everyone is invited--SAC member or not. We meet at Grand Canyon University @
7:30 pm--I17 to Camelback, West to 33rd Avenue (1 small traffic light East of
the big intersection of 35th Ave & Camelback) turn North into the University,
stop at the guard gate and say 'astronomy meeting", park there by the guard
gate and walk down the lighted pathway to the last building on the right--the
Fleming Building, follow your ears to the classroom where we meet.

Call or write if you need further directions or information on Saguaro
Astronomy Club.

Hoping to see you there!
