[AZ-Observing] Re: Thursday Photo Op

I just observed the Vandenberg launch from the roof of my house in 
Clarkdale. Although I did not see the rocket, the plume from the launch grew 
at a rapid pace over Mingus Mountain to the west of me. Eventually covering 
almost 30 degrees of the horizon. A first 5 second exposure was almost 
overexposed due to the brightness. I made exposures about every 40 seconds 
until the plume dissipated. About  mid way through, the large ball of gas 
took on the look of a nebula with streaks and strands showing up. Great 
show!
