[AZ-Observing] Re: Thursday Night's Sky Viewing

Channel 5 news, at an 9:40 pm break, said there were 9,500 strikes recorded
between 8:40 and 9:40!  Now THAT is some high voltage!

I know, this list is supposed to discuss astronomy observing, but that's
one active thunderstorm passing through Phoenix tonight!  Before the rain
arrived, lightning was striking at a frenetic pace of 3 or 4 strikes per
second.  Almost all of it was cloud-to-cloud lightning, so I took some
pictures with a fisheye lens.
