[AZ-Observing] The Spectroscopy-Photometry Meeting in Dewey

Yesterday I gave two talks at the Spectroscopy-Photometry meeting at my
home-observatory in Dewey, Arizona. I have uploaded my presentation on
preprocessing and flux calibration on my web site at
http://users.commspeed.net/stanlep/preprocessing.doc
This is a rather large WORD file, over 3MB. I will try to reproduce it
in a more readily accessible format if anyone has problems downloading
and reviewing it.
This was not an attempt at a thorough delivery on how to process a
spectrum. The was just an attempt to give the audience an introduction
to what is involved in processing a spectra.

For my second paper, the one I am most proud of, I came up with another
way for computing Equivalent Width from that in VSPEC, but I am using
the tools of VSPEC to do it. More than likely I am re-inventing the
wheel, so to speak, but before I submit it to this audience of experts,
I want to get it in better format. I am confident of what I have done,
but at this point until I have done this I do not want to post it on a
web site.
