[AZ-Observing] Stan's Solstice Party

What a grand time. There must have been 30 to 40 people showed up for
a great evening of partying and observing. It was a cool dark night
and the seeing was great. Omega Centauri loomed to the south and M13
knocked off socks in my 13.1" DOB. Scanning the Milky Way with a 35
MM 2" eyepiece showed numerous objects (galaxies, nebula, globular
clusters and ??) Someday when I have more ambition it would be fun to
figure out just what all those numerous objects were.
For those of you who have not been to Stan's place, it's located on
the top of a hill overlooking a vast valley. While civilization is
fast encroaching on the area and there are numerous lights around the
horizon, the sky is still very dark and the seeing excellent.
