Chris;
Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourselves, sounds like a great trip. This is
a terrific shot and I look forward to more.

Brings back very pleasant memories from an Astronomical point of view. Used
to have the Southern Cross as a frequent nightly companion growing up in
Durban, South Africa. Though I never saw a sky quite as spectacular as that
shot.

nights of astro imaging, a week of digging dinosaurs, and another week
traveling, fossil collecting and meeting old and new friends. Here is the
first of what will be many new postings from this trip, a 17mm wide angle
shot on the Auroracam II mount of the Southwestern sky right after twilight.

the star cluster gems round the southern cross. Our latitude was -21 here,
and the sky measured 21.6 mag on the SQM.
