[AZ-Observing] Solar activity

Yesterday at 0110 UTC, the results of a solar explosion was seen just
behind the eastern limb (see spaceweather.com).

At 11:30 MST today, the explosion area can now be seen visually using
a solar-filtered scope. The area is not prominent, but rather is
comprised of slightly darkened areas of varying size in my 80mm finder
at 26x.

This is a nice solar "present" to begin 2008.

Happy New Year to all!

Bob
