[AZ-Observing] Re: Seeing Conditions During Monsoon

That's what I said. Sorry if I wasn't clear. The ride above the base of
Cumuliform clouds was usually in absence of other turbulence causing
conditions, pretty smooth. Since I never quite finish my instrument rating
I'd stay below the clouds unless the sky was reported 6/10s clear or better.

cumuloform clouds "form" or appear when the rising air mass cools to the dew
point temperature. turbulence can and often will exist from the ground up;
far below the height at which they form. ................sam
