NGC7142/"NGC7129-33" was on my observing list for Saturday night at Vekol. For 7142 my notes show an oval of relatively faint stars (2:1 aspect ratio) about 11' in long dimension (E-W). The Cl+N was more difficult. Night Sky Observer's Guide lists 7129 as Cl+N and 7133 as nebula, but from my observations, they are all the same object.. The nebula incorporates a small trapezoid of fairly bright stars east of 7142, and the nebulosity was just visible without a UHC filter. My notes show the object as faint, about 4' in diameter and much better with the filter. Check out the photo on page 140 of vol 1 of Night Sky Observer's Guide. The above observations were with a 14" f4.5 with a 14mm UWA eyepiece - 114X/0.74 degrees FOV. The filter was an Orion Ultrablock.
