If anyone is interested I have a searchable SAO database with around
250,000 stars. The database has SAO, HD, Boss General Catalog Number
and Durchmusterung Identification. It also has RA/DEC for 1950 and
2000 epochs. Also visual and photographic magnitudes and proper
motions. All fields are searchable . Layouts for individual stars and
list of found sets is provided.
The database is nearly 130 MB so it is best transferred via CD.
Anyone interested in a copy please e-mail me. If you supply me a
blank CD I will burn you a copy. This is a Mac program. I may provide
a windows version in the future.
