[AZ-Observing] SAC Meeting--Friday May 20th 7:30pm

Please join us in welcoming Brent Archinal, Geodesist with the USGS in
Flagstaff.

Brent will bring the mysteries of Titan down to Earth with his talk:

A New World to Explore - Huygens Unveils Titan

Brent works with this day to day first hand. This will be one amazing
presentation. If you have been following the Cassini Huygens missions you will
especially not want to miss this presentation.

Additionally, Brent co-authored the StarClusters book. It is a tremendously
useful guide to observing & also a really good read. This link includes the
first chapter. http://www.willbell.com/handbook/starclusters/index.htm He will
speak to his book as well (hopefully) and I've asked him to bring some copies
for sale and autographing. The cost of the book is $35.
(and just maybe if we are lucky he will also reveal that other burning mystery
of: what is a Geodesist?)
Saguaro Astronomy Club meets once a month on the Friday nearest to the Full
Moon @ 7:30 p.m. at Grand Canyon University--
Enter the university from _33rd_ Avenue and Camelback. 33rd Avenue is a small
light just east of the 35th Avenue and Camelback intersection. Turn North onto
33rd Avenue. We meet at the Fleming Building, the last building on the right.
Due to construction, you may need to park near to the guard gate and walk a
short distance or meander around the buildings on the left and enter the
Fleming Building parking area from the back.
Hoping to see everyone there,
Respectfully,
Jennifer Polakis, VP
Saguaro Astronomy Club
