[AZ-Observing] Roadwork at Sentinel....

Hey all,

Steve Coe brought this up sometime ago, and it sure seems like a good idea....

The road to the observing site at Sentinel, I'm sure everyone's aware, has a
large pothole/washout in it. Large enough that I'm surprised that someone's
car hasn't been broken by it. Chuck Akers and I were talking about the
possibliltiy of getting out there this coming Friday around 2~ish to mend the
road. I've no idea how much work we're up against, but one things for
sure....the more people that are willing to help, the better/faster it'll get
done. As such, I'm putting out a request for ANYONE who is willing to
participate. If I/we have enough offers to do it later in the day, or on
Saturday instead, then we'll move the time/date to accomodate that. A pair of
work gloves will be enough to move rocks, and a shovel or pick could come in
handy. Mostly, we just need the bodies....

Sooooo....If you have even the remotest sense of social cause for this project,
and have the means and time, please contact me off list at
starstarcracker@xxxxxxxxx so I can make some effort at coordinating this.

Also, if anyone can donate a piece of drain pipe, or maybe some
timber/plywood/etc we could use to mend the road, contact me.

I will sink to blackmail/extortion if I don't get at least a few responses.....

Thad
