Featured Speaker - March 15
Dr. Rob Kennicutt, University of Arizona Astronomer will speak on "The
Accelerating Universe: Problem Solved or Problem Revealed". He will talk about
recent measurements of the expansion rate, age, and acceleration of the
universe, including current results from the WMAP mission.
Date: Saturday March 15, 2003
Location: Alta Vista Apartments Clubhouse, 1444 N. Recker Road, Mesa
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Mesa Astronomy/Geology Society presents monthly public lectures by professional
scientists throughout AZ.
We meet once a month on the Saturday closest to the full moon. Consult calender
for full moon date. Membership or donation encouraged but visitors are welcome.
