In the future, it might be useful to see how well these tools: http://www-frd.fsl.noaa.gov/mab/tke/tke_new.cgi http://www.rap.ucar.edu/projects/itfa/turbfc1.html ...both correlate with and predict (several hours in advance) bad seeing. I have found them useful for predicting crummy seeing in Flagstaff as much as 6 hours ahead of weather events known to produce bad seeing.
