Hi All-
Was looking over my shots from the Canyon and saw that the Grand Canyon
Phantom (high school sports mascot) made an appearance at the star party!
This is a totally unmanipulated shot other than some slight levels
adjustment and a slight crop. It is from a several-hour series of
40-second exposures taken every 90 seconds, taken near Dennis Young's
scope. Who knew such creatures exist...

Early in the week I caught a -8 magnitude Iridium flare and I made a GIF
out of it. I still don't know the best way to capture these - not sure if
this is the way or not. A nearly 2 minute series of 4 second exposures
every 5 seconds. Note how short the brightest part of the flare really
lasts. Note also all the green laser pointers from the parking lot
indicating it:

Will post the long sequence of the Milky Way rising when it becomes
available.
