[AZ-Observing] Observing weekends in '04...

Hey All,
Well, I just got out my 2004 calendars and started to mark in the Saturdays
that potential observing could be done. Barring, of course, the weather, we've
got what appears to be some pretty good chances at observing on just Saturdays.
Keep in mind that sun and moon times are for my location here in Avondale.
YMMV. Here's what I came up with...

Part niters, moonrise before 3 a.m. the following day...

Feb 14th moonrise 2:14 the 15th (singles nite, 'cuz if you're not
single and go out, you will be shortly.)
March 13th moonrise 2:25 the 14th
April 10th moonrise 1:21 the 11th
May 8th moonrise 0:11 the 9th
June 12th moonrise 2:36 the 13th
July 10th moonrise 1:07 the 11th
Aug 7th moonrise 0:12 the 8th
Oct 9th moonrise 2:55 the 10th
Nov 6th moonrise 1:40 the 7th
Dec 4th moonrise 0:26 the 5th

All niters (or 2 niters) where moonset is reasonably early, or rises next day
after 3 a.m......

Jan 17th
Jan 24th (moonset 51m after end of twilight {eot})
Feb 21st
March 20th (moon and sunset at same time!!! Here's your chance at the youngest
moon possible....yeah, right)
April 17th (after Taxday de-stress session.)
May 15th
June 19th (moonset 14m after eot)
July 17th (moonset 2m after eot)
Aug 14th
Sept 11th
Sept 18th (moonset 1h 8m after eot)
Oct 16th (moonset 27m after eot)
Nov 13th (moonset 33m before eot)
Dec. 11th (moonset 1h52m before eot)

All said and done, we've got 24 good chances to catch some ancient photons.
Let's hope that Ma Nature cooperates.

Looking forward to doing oodles and oodles of astronomy this coming year,
Thad
