HI all,
We had about two hours of clear sky last night before
terrestrial water based nebula moved in. My goal was
to see if comet Holmes was still a naked eye object,
and how big it looked in the binoculars now. WEll, it
IS still visible, with averted vision as a haze of
light about a degree in diameter. In the binoculars,
the veiw improved quite a bit, about 2 degrees of glow
were seen, but the jellyfish shape was no longer
apparent. What seems to be left visually is the
central ridge, surrounded by a faint glow.
I then was able to take a few frames of the comet with
the Stellarvue and my DSLR, and here is what I got:

Anyone else have a chance to look for it?
Chris
