Thnaks for the literal 'heads-up', Jennifer. This time of year you
really need to make an effort to see a halo at noon.
I've noticed that some of the best atmospheric phenomena occur near
the boundary of the "dry-wet line." Take a look at a water vapor
image to see how abruptly the monsoon moisture ends along a
north-south line about 100 miles west of Phoenix. Food for thought
for those who want to observe this weekend. Go west, and bring your
misters.
